It has been a few months since Jake and his scaly buddy, Isaac the Dragon, learned the horrifying - and rather unexpected - cause of the apocalypse known as the Fantasy which caused a monsters and magic to flood from another world into Earth. The seasons have changed. Winter has settled down upon the town of Leftright, leaving it blanketed in snow. And it is in the frozen depths of the Mess that Jake discovers something - or rather, someone! - completely new. An elf from the other world, trapped in his! With the various factions of post-apocalyptic Pennsylvania roused by this newcomer, Jake has to decide if he should follow the elf out of the Mess and into the wider world on a dangerous mission. For they claim that both worlds are in danger so long as the rifts in time and space persist! Does he remain safe in Leftright, or will Jake venture out to discover a way to save two civilizations from mutual destruction?
